China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) and SINOREN have officially committed to partnering with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Nigeria. The focus of their collaboration is the construction of vital Humanitarian Hubs and the installation of solar lighting for shelters, specifically designed to support impoverished and vulnerable communities across the country.

In a statement made available to Truth Live News, this pivotal announcement transpired during a courtesy visit to Dr. Betta Edu, the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, at her office last Friday. Representatives from CCECC and SINOREN commended Minister Edu for her transformative efforts in the humanitarian sector, expressing their keen interest in contributing to the ministry’s success.

Underlining their extensive presence in Nigeria, spanning multiple decades, both companies emphasized their unwavering dedication to the country’s overall growth and development. This commitment signifies a collaborative effort between international entities and the Nigerian government to address the pressing needs of vulnerable populations.

During the meeting, Minister Edu reiterated President Bola Tinubu’s steadfast commitment to establishing a robust Humanitarian Response system in the country. The objective is to create strategically located hubs that will facilitate swift relief efforts during humanitarian crises, ensuring timely assistance to affected communities.

Minister Edu also praised the proposed use of solar lighting for the new shelters, recognizing its significance as a renewable and cost-effective energy source. This aligns with ongoing initiatives to construct sustainable infrastructure, enhancing the living conditions of the underprivileged in Nigeria.
