The CEO Uyi Technical Conglomerate, Sir Omoruyi Olotun loses eldest daughter, Lilian.

According to reports, Lilian, the eldest daughter of the Benin based billionaire businessman, poisoned herself on Saturday, October 8th, 2022, at her residence. She was rushed to the hospital and all efforts to expunge the poison from her system and revive her, proved abortive.

It was gathered that Lilian, 40, a mother of three, took her life for reasons which are still unclear.

According to reports by some broadcasters in Benin, Lilian killed herself after some International fraudsters defrauded her to the tune of N300million.

Truthlive.net learnt that Lilian Olotun met the fraudster in Europe some time ago and arrangements were made to help her set up an electronic business in Benin city. Unknown to her, it was the beginning of a debt trap for her.

Lilian went ahead to take a loan of over N100 million from an individual and transferred the money to her new business partners who were fraudsters.

In their usual fashion, the fraudsters demanded for more money which led to her borrowing more, another over N100million, to push the business through.

All the while, her father, Uyi Olotun was unaware of his daughter’s predicament but only knew on the day she took her life.

Further reports revealed that Lilian realized that she was has been defrauded when the business refused to take off. However, it was already too late because her creditors had already started calling for repayment.

Lilian went ahead to borrow from other sources to pay off the earlier ones, leading to a debt entanglement.

A day before she committed suicide, her father Uyi Olotun was called by an unknown person that Lilian owed him N150million. Other loan sharks also called him that she borrowed monies from them.

Lilian in an attempt to cover her shame, drank the popular pesticide, Sniper, just before her father could intervene.

Efforts by medical professionals to revive her, proved abortive as she died in the hospital.

Meanwhile, other speculations have it that Uyi Olotun, her father, was aware of her debt predicament and had started paying off the debt but she could not bear the shame, so she decided to end it all.

The Olotun family is yet to make an official statement on the matter as at the time of filing this report.

May her soul find eternal rest.
