Security operatives have arrested a notorious bandit identified as Sule Yellow, popularly known on TikTok as @suleyellow6, in a significant breakthrough against criminal networks operating in northern Nigeria.
According to credible sources, Sule Yellow was apprehended shortly after collecting a ransom payment from the family of one of his victims, bringing an end to his brazen activities that had increasingly drawn attention online.
A report shared by a reliable security monitoring platform, @mobilisingniger, revealed that the suspect had been actively using TikTok to broadcast his activities, often appearing in livestream sessions alongside other suspected bandits, including an associate identified as Auta.
The report noted that on March 4, Sule Yellow was seen on TikTok livestreaming with members of his gang, openly interacting with followers while displaying little concern for law enforcement. The disturbing broadcast, which circulated widely on social media, sparked outrage and renewed calls for authorities to clamp down on criminals using digital platforms to glamorize banditry.
Security sources confirmed that his TikTok account has since been disabled following his arrest, as investigators move to analyze digital evidence that could expose additional members of the criminal network.
While details of the arrest operation remain limited, officials indicated that the development forms part of ongoing intelligence-driven efforts by security agencies to dismantle bandit groups responsible for kidnappings and violent attacks across parts of the country.
