The Cross River State Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, has called on the stakeholders to set aside their differences and build a progressive and united Northern Senatorial District in Ogoja LGA.
Odey spoke of promoting development in line with Governor Otu’s “People First” mantra.
The deputy gov. at a meeting on Saturday and Sunday, with stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and traditional rulers from the Northern Senatorial District told them to continue to support the administration of Governor Bassey Edet Otu.
“This administration is tirelessly working to improve the socioeconomic status of the Northern Senatorial District and the State at large,” He said.
The Chief Press Secretary Fred Abua Esq.on a social media post and made available to Truth Live News said the Deputy Governor stressed the importance of unity and collaboration.
He said “the Deputy Governor urged stakeholders to set aside their differences and embrace one another to build a progressive and united Northern senatorial district.”

“Harmonious approach would help overcome challenges and promote development in line with Governor Otu’s “People First” mantra” he assured.
Meanwhile, the Northern Senatorial District stakeholders in the Nigeria South South geopolitical region have demanded for primary healthcare, roads and public power supply in rural areas.
The stakeholders include, the Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvester Agabi, APC State Chairman, Alphonsus Eba Esq. Council Chairmen and their Vice, serving and former members of the Executive Council, and paramount rulers of Yala, Ogoja, Bekwarra, Obudu, and Obanliku Local Government Areas.
Also, High Chief Higgins Peters, Hon. Chief Martin Orim, Sir Peter Ojie, and Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo attended the meeting among several others.
