C’River Deputy Gov. Donates Cash For Church Building In Obudu

The Deputy Governor, of Cross River State Rt.Hon Peter Odey has pledged to support the building project of the Dunamis Church in Obudu.

He made the pledge when he led guests at the thanksgiving service organized in honour of the state Commissioner for sports Development Hon. Agnes Atsu, to make undisclosed amount of cash donations towards acquiring a permanent site for Dunamis Church.

“The Commissioner in just a few months in office had brought to the ministry visible changes,” he said.

According to Hon Atsu, whom he described as a mobilizer, had impressed both the Governor and himself.

In her response, Commissioner Atsu said God had been so faithful to him and as such He deserves thanksgiving.

She recalled how He has blessed her with appointment through the instrumentality of the state Governor Sen Bassey Edet Otu.

While she thanked the Governor for the appointment, Atsu said her new role was the reason she asked her political leaders, friends and supporters to join her in providing a worship place in Obudu.

“The Commissioner’s integrity, ability to mobilize political support and prowess in the area of sports where she is currently serving the state are exceptional,” said the well wishers.

The Chief Press to the deputy governor Fred Abua Esq in a statement made available to Truth Live News said the former Member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbor, the Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvester Agabi, former Chief of Staff, to Sen Ben Ayade Chief Martin Orim, and Hon. Engr. Thomas Aruku, were the notable political stakeholders who attended the event.
