A Nigerian singer Onoyom Mbuk, also known as Iyanya, has explained why he went on a date with the woman he met during Davido’s “Timeless” show.
Recall that Iyanya went on a date with the lady in spite of threats from the lady’s claimed boyfriend.
Iyanya said on his Twitter account on Tuesday that he just brought Florence, the woman, out on a date in order to help her get over her despair.
He claimed that after observing her gesture toward him while he was performing at Davido’s event, he requested his crew to find her and posted on social media that he would like to meet her.
The Kukere crooner said that when she contacted them, his crew learned from their conversation that she had come to Davido’s concert to clear her off her head.
He claimed to have make arrangements with his team to be able to help her come out of depression.
Iyanya wrote, “When Florence arrived in Lagos on Saturday I was not in Lagos, I had events in Calabar and PH respectively. When I came back Monday afternoon. I headed to Sliver Jetty and spent the afternoon with Florence on a boat cruise. She’s amazing guys. She has dreams of becoming an influencer.
“To assist Florence in becoming an influencer, I got her a brand new iPhone to make this easier and create good content.
Watch out for Florence, she’s going to do great things.”
He added that he only met Florence for the first time on the boat and his team dropped her off at her hotel, stressing that he didn’t bring her to Lagos for “any other agenda but to make sure she was happy after all she’s been through.”
