World Economic Forum Sets Stage For 2025 SDI Meetings Next Week In New York

The World Economic Forum (WEF) will hold its annual Sustainable Development Impact Meetings (SDIM25) in New York from 22–26 September, coinciding with the UN General Assembly High-Level Week.

The event gathers global political, business and civil-society leaders to accelerate progress on the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, at a time when the UN marks 80 years of existence and only five years remain to meet the 2030 targets.

According to the UN’s 2025 SDG Report, only 35% of goals are on track, nearly half are advancing too slowly, and 18% are in reverse, with over 800 million people still in extreme poverty.

Geopolitics: Looking beyond Uncertainty – Sept 22, 11:30 EDT

Resilience Roadmap for Africa – Sept 22, 14:30 EDT

Energy Transition: Amping Up or Powering Down? – Sept 23, 10:30 EDT
