A prominent support group, Asue Kitchen, has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to rally voters for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, and his deputy, Osarodion Ogie Esq., ahead of the upcoming September 21 election in Edo State.
The group, comprising indigenes from all 18 local government areas and 192 wards of the state, restated their support in a press release issued in Benin City on Sunday.
Jointly signed by State Coordinator Mr. Eugene Okoaguale and General Secretary Barrister Benedicta, the statement highlighted the group’s efforts, including mobilizing eligible voters, media support, and printing campaign materials. Asue Kitchen emphasized that their backing of Ighodalo and Ogie was based on their track record of integrity, competence, and commitment to human capital development.
Dr. Mayor Nnwanbuake, a key figure in the group, urged members to stay focused, dismissing the opposition APC as reliant on “lies and propaganda” with a candidate lacking the capacity to govern a complex state like Edo. National Coordinator Mr. Ralph Odua praised the group’s dedication and encouraged them to continue their efforts, expressing confidence in PDP’s victory.
The group emphasized that their support was for individuals with reputable character rather than political parties, positioning Ighodalo as the right leader to build on the work of Governor Godwin Obaseki and carry forward Edo State’s development plan. They assured their continued commitment to mobilizing voters and defending the PDP’s vision for good governance.
We want what is good for our state for the sake of our children and posterity hence our full support for ASUE IGHODALO bcos he has all it takes to move Edo state to an enviable height…
