According to him, ensuring peace and safety is key to unlocking the state’s economic potential and encouraging both local and diaspora investments.
Ighodalo further articulated his vision of making Edo State a more attractive destination for investors and returning citizens. He emphasized the need for a conducive environment that allows Edo’s diaspora to reinvest in their homeland. “Our goal is to build a welcoming environment that invites our people to return home and invest in the growth of our state,” he stated.
Youth empowerment and innovation also form significant parts of Ighodalo’s blueprint for Edo’s future. He plans to foster the growth of digital and creative industries by establishing environments that enable young talents to thrive. “We aim to empower our creative and talented youths by fostering the growth of digital and creative skills through enabling environments,” he added.
Ighodalo’s approach to economic growth extends to a comprehensive strategy for establishing economic hubs in each of the state’s three senatorial districts. These hubs will harness the unique strengths and comparative advantages inherent in each district, driving balanced development across the state. “Strategic economic hubs will be developed across the three senatorial districts, each leveraging its unique strengths to boost prosperity,” he explained.
