The embattled deputy governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu has finally bowed to pressure having received a lot of humiliations and embarrassment from his superior, the state governor, Godwin Obaseki.

Recall that Shaibu had earlier ran to Federal High Court in Abuja, restraining the governor, Obaseki, the DSS and the state Chief Judge for impeaching him.

The news of the impeachment, according to the state governor, it came to him as a shock as he never had it in his mind to impeach him.

Ever since the feud began, the deputy governor has received a lot of upper cut from the governor.

One of them was when he was barred by the governor’s security detail not to get closer to the governor while the recent is the relocation of his office to an obscure building within the environs of the government house.

The citizens of the state have not been pleased with the way things have snowballed from bad to worse.

Having listened to the voice of reasons, the deputy governor who is in the middle of the heat has finally decided to withdraw his case against the earlier mentioned individuals.

According to the letter making the rounds, stating the withdrawal of the case, said that the deputy governor having listened to some notable individuals including the Archbishop of Benin Archdiocese, Augustine Akubeze, he has decided to withdraw his case.
