Edo Gets 228 Police Constables

The Edo State Police command has gotten 228 Constables out of the numbers that recently graduated from the Police Training School.

The State Commissioner of Police, Betty Enekpen Otimenyin, received the new Constables on Thursday, at the Command’s headquarters in Benin City.

Otimenyin who urged them to learn their job well, reminded them that they are “carrying a great mandate to serve the country with all their might”.

The Commissioner of Police tasked them to be diligent, dedicated, and committed to their duties, upholding the highest standards of discipline, professionalism and integrity.

A statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Moses Yamu, disclosed that the new addition to the Command are made up of 143 males and 85 females.

The statement said that the Constables “are expected to bolster the Command’s efforts in maintaining law and order in the State”.

“This marks the beginning of a new chapter for the 228 constables, who are poised to make a positive impact in the Edo State Command,” Yamu added.
