Edo State governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Amb. Dr. Odion Cedrack Okpeboholo, has vowed to revamp the heath and the educational sectors to meet up with the international best practices if elected in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
Speaking about his educational reform, he said, from primary school to university level, staff would be trained and retrained to enable them to be intellectually equipped and disciplined and give the students/pupils the best stressing that you can’t give what you don’t have.
Amb. Okpeboholo said his government will make adequate provision for good libraries and laboratories, including Information Communication Technology (ICT) centres so that the students can be abreast with the modern day technologies.
He said with all these measures put in place, it will enable the students appreciate the value of education and study in conducive environment.
Okpebholo maintained that to in order to make the burden lesser on the parents, grants and loans will be given to intelligent and composed students who are indigent.
On health, the governorship aspirant promised to establish health centres manned by qualified medical doctors and health personnel in every village no matter how remote it may be, just to make sure that healthcare delivery gets to the people at their door steps.
