Edo Guber: House Majority Leader, Aiguobarueghian Roots For Ighodalo, Urges Women To Queue Behind PDP

The Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) Majority Leader, Charity Aiguobarueghian has urged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women to cast their votes for the governorship candidate of the party, Asue Ighodalo in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State.

He made the appeal while speaking with the female members of the party in Ovbiogie Community in Ovia North East Local Government Area of the state.

The Lawmaker said their votes are very important adding that it will make a huge difference for the emergence of Asue Ighodalo, the party’s flagbearer in the forthcoming governorship election in the state, as the winner.

He saluted the resilience of the women folk with a promise that their steadfastness to the ideal of the PDP will be rewarded in due course.

Hon. Aiguobarueghian while stating that Ighodalo will build on the legacy of Governor Godwin Obaseki, he added that, Obaseki, has been prudent in the management of the state’s resources by which he has been able to allocate resources for the development of infrastructures and that Ighodalo as an economist, he will not do otherwise.

Earlier, the Vice Chairman of the local government council, Hon. Efosa Uyigue, having passed the goodwill messages of some key stakeholders of the party like the mother of the state, wife of the state governor, Her Excellency Dr (Mrs) Betsy Obaseki; the wife of the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Mrs Ifeyinwa Asue-Ighodalo; Chairman of Ovia North East Local Government Council, Hon. Collins Ogbewe and the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Monday Osaigbovo, to those present at the meeting, she re-echoed on the need to vote massively for the governorship candidate in order to emerge victoriously at the poll.

She assured the women that what the governor’s wife has done for women in the state which has given them them a better position in politics, and the government will be sustained by Mr Asue Ighodalo.

She added that Governor Obaseki has empathy for them considering the hardship that they have been going through as a result of the defective economic policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal government.
