Andrew Enantomhen, a prominent PDP chieftain and youth advocate in Edo State, has strongly criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for allegedly attempting to stir unrest as the upcoming Edo State governorship election draws near.

His remarks came in response to the recent arrest of Hon. Kingsley Osehon, the Councillor of Ward 10 and Chief Whip of Esan North-East Local Government Council in Edo State, by individuals believed to be policemen.

Enantomhen demanded the immediate release of Hon. Kingsley Osehon, condemning the arrest as an act of intimidation by the APC. He emphasized that the people of Edo State have made a clear decision to support Asue Ighodalo of the PDP in the upcoming September 21, 2024, governorship election.

“The people of Edo State have made their choice. We stand with Asue Ighodalo of the PDP. We reject the APC, which represents darkness, while we have chosen the light in Asue Ighodalo. The people of Edo State will not be intimidated by the APC,” Enantomhen declared.

He further asserted that the arrest of Hon. Kingsley Osehon is not just an attack on an individual but an affront to the collective dignity of the people of Esan North-East Local Government and the entire Edo State. “Arresting a leader like Hon. Kingsley Osehon is akin to arresting the people of Esan. We will not tolerate such intimidation,” Enantomhen warned.
