The arrests were carried out by the commission’s Gombe Zonal Directorate on Saturday, following credible intelligence on the suspects’ alleged involvement in internet fraud.
This was contained in a statement released by the EFCC on Monday through their official X handle.
According to the statement, the operation took place in Kaure New Government Reservation Area (GRA) and Awala, Maiduguri Road, Bauchi.
Recovered items from the suspects include a BMW car, a Toyota Camry, three PlayStation 5 consoles, 30 high-end mobile phones, a flat-screen television, six Point-of-Sale (POS) machines, four iPads, and five laptops.
The EFCC assured that the suspects would be prosecuted upon the conclusion of investigations.
