Iyabo Ojo Fires Warning at Baba Ijesha Over Claims About Her Children

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has issued a strong warning to actor Baba Ijesha over comments involving her children, describing his claims as false and misleading.

The controversy follows a recent interview where Baba Ijesha alleged that Ojo once left her children, Festus and Priscilla, in his care. He also attempted to defend himself against past allegations, insisting he had no ill intentions.

Reacting, Ojo firmly denied ever entrusting her children to him, stressing that they were always under the supervision of nannies or family members.

“Take this as a notice to cease and desist from using my children as your cheap bait. It won’t fly,” she stated.

She further clarified that her professional environment at the time made such claims unlikely, noting she had multiple staff members who handled errands and responsibilities.

“My kids were never alone… I had staff and support systems in place,” she added.

Ojo also addressed Baba Ijesha’s past conviction, emphasizing that the issue of sexual assault should not be trivialized.

“That 14-year-old girl was a minor, and sexual assault is never okay. It is a crime. You should show some remorse.”

The actress warned that she would take legal action if he continued to mention her children publicly.

“Stop mentioning their names or I will instruct my lawyer to take appropriate legal steps,” she concluded.

Baba Ijesha was previously convicted by a Lagos High Court over sexual assault charges involving a minor, a case that sparked widespread public outrage across Nigeria.
