Nigerian comedian and content creator Shank Comics has added a continental award to his growing list of achievements, being named Best Streamer 2026 at the SiGMA Africa Awards held in Cape Town, South Africa on March 3, 2026.
The ceremony was part of the larger SiGMA Africa Summit, a major industry gathering that brings together key players in technology, gaming, fintech and online innovation from across the continent. The awards segment celebrates outstanding contributors shaping Africa’s expanding digital economy, and this year Shank Comics stood out above all others in the streaming category.
Shank Comics, whose real name is Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, first gained attention through comedy skits that captured everyday Nigerian life with humour that resonated widely before transitioning into live streaming, where he built a loyal fan base through consistent and authentic performances across major platforms.
The Best Streamer award at the SiGMA Africa Awards is designed to honour creators who have demonstrated consistency, audience engagement and impact within the online streaming industry. For Shank Comics, the recognition reflects a journey that has taken him from local comedy content to international collaborations including appearances alongside American streaming giants Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed that significantly expanded his global footprint.
