Lucky Obukohwo Reporting
A former Inspector General Of Police, AIG Ambrose Aisabor (rtd), has tasked the Chief Judge of Nigeria (CJN), Olukayode Ariwoola, to redeem the image of the Nigerian judiciary by investigating Sen. Bulkachuwa’s comment that his wife, Zainab Bulkachuwa, influences judgement for his colleagues at the national assembly
He also called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun to swing into action and bring the senator to book to serve as a deterrent to other senators.
The retired AIG said this in an interview with newsmen while reacting to the comment credited to Senator Bulkachuwa.
“It’s no longer news the confession of Senator Bulkachuwa about how he has been influencing his wife, a retired President of the Court of Appeal in respect of cases involving some of his friends in the National Assembly.
“The confession was done on the floor of the Senate during the valedictory session held by the ninth Senate and presided over by the former Senate president senator Ahmad Lawan.
He said for Senator Bulkachuwa to now recount and say the Senate president did not allow him to finish his statement is very unfortunate and playing to the gallery.
Senator Bulkachuwa should know that a dog does not go back to his vomit. It is too late for him now to recount because it was very clear and no ambiguity in it.
According to him, the Senator was only confirming what many Nigerians already know about the happenings in the judiciary.
“From his confession, Nigerians can now know the number of people that have fraudulently found their way into the national assembly”, Aisabor said.
