Some opposition parties’ presidential candidates for the 2023 general elections, on Thursday, asked Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), to convince President Bola Tinubu to include them in his government.

They asked for a courtesy call with the APC national chairman at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, according to The Nation.

The Presidential candidates are of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Action Democratic Party (ADP), National Rescue Movement (NRM), and Action Peoples Party (APP), among others.

The candidates who are under the aegis of the Forum of Concerned Presidential Candidates (FCPC) said that their decision not to appeal President Tinubu’s election victory to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) was motivated by the need for national peace and progress.

Ambassador Felix Johnson Osakwe, a spokesperson for the forum and the National Rescue Movement’s (NRM) presidential candidate, told the president and the party that they supported peace.
