The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has awarded a contract to an Ogun State-base company, Omoluabi construction company for the construction of an FM radio station in the institution.
The contract also covers the provision of equipment necessary for the take-off of the radio station.
According to the institution’s Rector, Engr. Usman Kallamu, who was represented by the Deputy Rector Administration, Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua, the project would be subject to a number of monitoring procedures.
He therefore urged the company to adhere to guidelines and meet standards because doing so would make them eligible for consideration in the future.
Dr. Victor Eniola Mark, Group Chairman of Ojulowo Omoluabi Empire Holdings Limited, in his response, who was represented by Engr. Ahmed Ogunlesi, noted that the integrity and track-record of the firm and its numerous subsidiaries that led to the award of the contract is one that they will uphold.
