The Federal Government has reopened all 47 Unity Colleges across the country, reaffirming its commitment to the safety of students and the continuity of education.

This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday by the Federal Ministry of Education, through its Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade.

According to the ministry, academic activities have fully resumed after security measures were strengthened within and around the campuses.

“Students have returned safely to their campuses, with many concluding their December academic programmes, while others have successfully completed their examinations,” the ministry said.

The government assured parents, guardians and the public that the welfare and safety of students remain a top priority. Authorities said they are working closely with security agencies to maintain stability and normalcy in schools nationwide.

“The Federal Government remains resolute in its responsibility to protect every Nigerian child and to uphold their fundamental right to education in a safe and secure environment,” the statement added.

The ministry highlighted the importance of education in national development and emphasised efforts to prevent disruptions to the academic calendar. It also expressed gratitude to parents, school administrators and students for their cooperation during the reopening process.
