Edo Civil Society Organizations (EDOCSO) in collaboration with the National Association Nigeria Students (NANS) has fixed next Monday to ground the state in protest against the arbitrary hike in the petroleum pump price in the country.
The groups made this known in a statement making rounds their online with the association’s logo and titled “Protest! Protest!! Protest!!!
According to the groups, they cannot place their hands in akimbo while the poor masses suffer and the politicians feed fat from the nation’s patrimony.
“This is to inform the good People of Edo State, lovers of justice and the plebeians to a peaceful protest against the the senseless and ridiculous increase of pump price of petrol in the midst of penury while the new National Assembly Members/ “Legislooters” are made to share N70 billion to improve their working conditions.
“Another N110 Billion for Bulletproof cars for Senate President and Rep leaders while N8,000 each palliatives for Poor Nigerians.
The statement disclosed that the meeting point. for protest sheduled to hold on Monday 24th July 2023 is the National Museum. at 7:30am.
