CROSS RIVER, CALABAR – The Governor of Cross River State Sen. Bassey Edet Otu, has stated that Sen. Douye Diri Governor of Bayelsa State is “making judicious use of revenues from the federation allocation.”
At the 5th anniversary celebration of Governor Diri, in Yenagoa, where Governor Otu Commissioned a 1.475km dualized road 24 with Bus Lanes in Okaka, Yenagoa, Speakers described the road project as a reflection of continuity in governance.
“Completing inherited projects is commendable; it reflects the essence of governance and continuity,” Governor Otu said.
He said considering the quality of this road, it is evident that Sen. Diri is making judicious use of revenues from the federation allocation.
Otu who is the Vice Chairman of the South-South Governors’ Forum described Governor Diri as a bold and visionary leader, widely respected for his commitment to development and prudent management of state resources.

Irrespective of their political parties’ differences Governor Otu took time out to praise his counterpart for prioritizing continuity by completing projects inherited from previous administrations.
In a social media post Nsa Gill, Chief Press Secretary to Cross River State Governor said he expressed admiration for Diri’s developmental strides.
According to him, Otu noted that Bayelsa is witnessing significant infrastructural progress, including plans aimed at achieving a 24-hour statewide power supply.
Meanwhile, the Bayelsa State Governor has highlighted the transformational impact of his administration’s projects across the state.
He said the face of Yenagoa is changing for the better. Diri stated. “The inauguration of road infrastructure and other key projects is a major highlight of our fifth anniversary.”

Also, Truth Live News gathered that as part of the 5th anniversary celebrations, Governor Diri launched a statewide medical outreach program.
The event, which commenced on Monday, featured the Obenibe-Epie, King Malla Sasime, and the people of the area.
