Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, has been killed in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut, according to confirmations from both the Israeli military and Hezbollah itself. The death marks a significant blow to Hezbollah, which has been engaged in heightened clashes with Israel, particularly along the Lebanese-Israeli border.

Truth Live News gathered that Israeli military spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani announced the news, stating, “Hassan Nasrallah is dead,” and the Israeli army emphasized that Nasrallah had been a legitimate target due to his long history of directing and executing terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and military personnel. Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant affirmed, “He was the murderer of thousands of Israelis and foreign citizens. He was an immediate threat to the lives of thousands of Israelis and other citizens.”

Hezbollah confirmed Nasrallah’s death, stating that he “has joined his fellow martyrs” and vowed to continue its “holy war against the enemy and in support of Palestine.” Other high-ranking Hezbollah commanders, including Ali Karki, were also killed in the strike.

The news has provoked reactions from various global and regional actors. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called for solidarity with Hezbollah, declaring, “The fate of this region will be determined by the forces of resistance, with Hezbollah at the forefront.” Hamas, a Palestinian militant group, expressed that Nasrallah’s death would only strengthen their resolve. Meanwhile, Russia condemned the attack, warning of greater instability in the Middle East.
