How Police Arrested Man For Collecting Ransom Ahead Of Kidnapping Operation In Jos Revealed

The Plateau State police command has revealed how they were able to arrest one Mr. Suleiman Adamu Garba of Nanga Gindiri, in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, for collecting ransom ahead from his would-be Kidnapped victim

The State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, who paraded the suspect among other criminals in Jos on Friday, said that the suspect, identified as Suleiman Adamu Garba of Nanga Gindiri, in Mangu local government area of Plateau State, in collaboration with one Adamu Langai who is now at large, had phoned their victim threatening to pay them N1million or he would be kidnapped.

CP Adesina said the would-be victim, after paying the money, reported to the police at Gindiri divisional Headquarters and investigation commenced immediately.

“During our investigation, the anonymous caller was tracked through his GSM number and was eventually arrested by Gindiri police operatives in connection to the reported incident.

“On interrogation, the suspect named, Suleiman Adamu Garba ‘m’ of Nanga Gindiri, Mangu LGA of Plateau State confessed voluntarily to have committed the offence with one Adamu Langai who is now at large”, Adesina said.

He said that the case was still under investigation and that efforts were being made to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
