Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the leading candidate for the September 21 Edo State governorship election under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has confidently asserted that his party is poised for a decisive victory.
Speaking exclusively to Truth Live News during a PDP campaign rally in Igueben Local Government Area, Ighodalo emphatically stated that the only way any other party could win the election would be through rigging.
“Everything is showing that we will win this election hands down. The only way anybody can win this election apart from PDP is if they rig the election, and God will not let that happen.
“The President and the Governor have assured us that there won’t be anything like rigging,” Ighodalo declared, expressing his trust in a fair and transparent electoral process.
Ighodalo highlighted the massive turnout at the rally as evidence of the PDP’s overwhelming support in the state.
He remarked, “As you can see for yourself, you followed us around. You can see the crowd behind us compared to our opposition. We never campaign to insult or drag anybody. Our campaigns have been issue-based.”
Joined by the incumbent Governor on the campaign trail, Ighodalo reaffirmed the PDP’s commitment to improving the lives of the people of Edo State.
“Our focus is on how to better the lives of Edo people. Our concern is how our children will access quality education, how sick people will have the best healthcare services, how our motorists will have good roads, and by God’s grace, we will deliver for our people.”
