No fewer than thirteen persons have been reported dead, 29 injured in what was described as traffic accident in India.
A bus carrying dozens of members of a music troupe fell into a gorge in western India.
The group was reported to have been on their way to Mumbai after a performance in the city of Pune.
A report by the Sky Newspaper said the bus, which was carrying 42 passengers was on a motorway near Khopoli in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, around 43 miles from Mumbai, when the accident happened.
It said most of those killed belonged to the troupe from Mumbai, according to police officer Atul Zende.
Mr Zende said the exact cause of Saturday’s crash was not immediately known.
It was gathered by Truth Live News that this is the latest traffic accident in a country where more than 110,000 people are killed on roads every year.
The inform source said “more than 110,000 people are killed every year in road accidents across India.”
However, it was reported that the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a fund for the victims’ families.
The medium noted that deadly accidents are common in the country due to ageing vehicles, poorly maintained roads and reckless driving.
