Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian, has made it clear that he won’t negotiate a nuclear deal with US President Donald Trump over unacceptable threats.
This stance comes after Trump claimed to have sent a letter to Iran’s top authority, urging them to negotiate a deal to prevent the development of nuclear weapons.
Pezeshkian’s refusal to negotiate is backed by Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, who has also rejected any possibility of negotiating with the US.
The Iranian president said that he won’t negotiate under any circumstances, saying, “I won’t even negotiate with you under threats, do whatever the hell you want.”
Truth Live News reports that this development validates the tense relationship between Iran and the US, with both countries at odds over the nuclear deal.
It was gathered that the situation has been further complicated by Iran’s recent acceleration of uranium enrichment, which has raised concerns about the country’s nuclear ambitions.
