The Court of Appeal sitting in Benin City is about now delivering judgment on the case brought before it to determine who are the authentic candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo state for the 2023 state and national assemblies election.
The court had earlier fixed the 17th for judgment during its first sitting on Tuesday, but in a twist of event, the appellate court sent out a message late Tuesday that parties must be in court today for the continuation and decision of the case brought before it by the chief Dan Orbih led faction of the party against a Benin high judgment favoring the Obaseki faction of the party.
