The Presidential Elections Petition Court on Saturday stopped lawyers, journalists amongst others from entering the court room with their phones, laptops as well as other gadgets.
The court made this known in a notice placed on the door to the entrance of the courtroom.
The development generated choas at the entrance of the court as the directive didn’t go down well with many who accused the court of having hidden agenda.
However, after a very long wait at the entrance people were allowed to enter as soon as the Court’s secretary, Josephine Ekperobe arrived and apologized the people for the delay in opening.
According to her, it is a directive “from above which will take effect from Monday 22nd May, 2023.”
