Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), arrived at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Tuesday morning, July 25, to face trial for alleged illegal possession of Firearms and ammunition.
Emefiele, who was brought in at 09:21 a.m. by officers from the Department of State Services (DSS), is facing a two-count accusation of illegally carrying a single-barrel shotgun (JOJEFF MAGNUM 8371).
According to Channels Television, Emefiele was arraigned before the vacation judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo.
The suspended apex bank leader, according to the article, pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.
