Justice Agbo Of Appeal Court Is Dead

The Calabar Division of Appeal Court presiding Justice has been reported dead at aged 69.

He is justice Raphael Chikwe Agbo.

Justice Agbo who died on Tuesday after resumption from vacation was said to have been billed to retire in October.

The cause of his death was not revealed as he is said to have been battling with health challenges.

Agbo, while he was rushed to a medical facility on Tuesday reportedly died in Calabar.

CrossRiverWatch report that until his death, He was the second most senior Justice of the Court of Appeal after its President, Hon. Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem.

While Justice Oyebisi Omoyele who is also of the Calabar Division will be the third most Senior Truth Live News gathered that he was last seen when his panel upheld the conviction of the Akwa Ibom State guber Candidate of the Young Progressives Party, Sen Bassey Akpan for fraud with an option of fine.

Justice Agbo who was called to the bar in 1978, and appointed member of the Court of Appeal in 2005, hailed from the Southern state of Nigeria.
