Sen Shehu Sani has described the alleged murder of f Ummukulsum Buhari by her erstwhile Chinese lover as unfortunate, also disclosing that the police alleged that the deceased purportedly collected money from the foriegn nationale but refused to marry him.
“The alleged murder of Ummi by a Chinese fiancée in Kano is tragic.
“Even though the police spokesman revealed that the man claimed she collected his money and refused to marry him as promised, it’s unfortunate.
“Justice must be done and lessons learned,” Sanni said.
Kano, on Saturday, has been on the buzz after Friday nights alleged murder of the lady by her Chinese ex-lover, a certain Mr Geng.
The incident is said to have happened around Kuntau residence, Janbullo general area of Kano metropolis.
Mrs Buhari, a graduate of Agriculture science from Kampala University, Uganda, is currently on youth service at Sokoto.
As learnt, Mr Geng had a sizzling relationship with the young lady for two years before she settled for another man within the city.
But Ummukulsum Buhari’s marriage never lasted, and she was said to have returned to her family house to continue her normal life.
The account explained that Mr Geng who felt jilted by Ummukulsum Buhari botched relationship never let go and until last night when he allegedly scaled the perimeter fence, sneaked to her room and slaughtered her in cold blood.
Family member and well wishers who had responded to save her life took her to the nearby health facility where she reportedly gave up the ghost.
Mr Geng was subsequently arrested by the mob who were set to delivered jungle justice until a combined team of the the Police, and the Immigration official arrived to restore normalcy.
Though, Kano state police Command are keeping sealed lips over the incident, security sources in the city confirmed that Mr. Geng is still very much in custody.
