Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has presented the 2025 budget proposal of ₦582.4 billion to the Kogi State House of Assembly for approval.
This proposed budget represents a 43.34% increase from the revised 2024 budget of ₦406.3 billion.
The budget is tagged the “budget of inclusive development” and prioritizes education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, and economic growth.
Governor Ododo emphasized that the 2025 budget aims to drive job creation, ensure food security, improve staff welfare, and enhance infrastructural development across the state.
The proposed budget is divided into recurrent expenditure of ₦279.6 billion (48.01%) and capital expenditure of ₦302.8 billion (51.99%).
The Kogi State House of Assembly will now review the proposed budget to ensure it aligns with the state’s socioeconomic goals.
