The Chairman of the National Working Committee of the ADC sen. David Mark has warned that Democracy will only be sustainable by the quality of freedom given to it, especially the freedom to choose and associate.
Senator Mark made this announcement during an international press briefing by the leaders of ADC in Abuja on Thursday, 2nd of April in an attempt to clampdown on the illegal delisting of ADC national working committee (NWC) by the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He noted that, the coalition movement which is under the political umbrella of the African democratic Congress(ADC) was birthed out of keen desire to resist relentless assault of political parties in Nigeria by the ruling All Progressive Congress.
“ADC came out as a desire to resist relentless assault of political parties in Nigeria and to put a stop to calculated dictatorship”, he stated.
Sen. David Mark further emphasized the need for lovers of democracy to line behind the ADC as they have now become the viable opposition in Nigeria in order to create a formidable competition to the All Progressive Congress on the ballot in the 2027 general election.
