Troops Neutralize Four Terrorists, Rescue Two Kidnapped Victims in Kaduna

The Nigerian Army troops have neutralized four suspected terrorists and rescued two abducted victims during a coordinated security operation in the Dokan Karji and Kwassam communities of Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

The operation, which took place on Saturday, was launched following actionable intelligence on the movement and activities of armed terrorists in the area.

According to security sources, “The troops engaged the criminals in a fierce gun battle, resulting in the neutralization of four of them, while others fled the scene with possible gunshot wounds.”

Truth Live News gathered that the two rescued victims were found alive and in stable condition. The army confirmed that after preliminary medical checks and debriefing by security personnel, the victims have since been reunited with their families.

During the clearance phase of the operation, troops recovered items suspected to have been used by the terrorists. Security forces extended clearance operations to surrounding bushes and hideouts to deny fleeing elements the opportunity to regroup.

Residents of Dokan Karji and Kwassam communities have welcomed the development, describing the operation as a major boost to security in an area that has recently experienced repeated incidents of banditry and kidnappings.

Military authorities reiterated their resolve to maintain aggressive operations against terrorists, bandits, and other criminal elements across Kaduna State and the North West region. They assured residents that efforts will continue unabated until lasting peace is restored in the affected communities.
