U.S. President Donald Trump has criticised the Grammy Awards, describing the ceremony as “the worst” and “virtually unwatchable,” while also threatening legal action against its host, Trevor Noah, over remarks linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
In a statement shared on his social media platform, Trump accused the Grammys’ broadcaster, CBS, of airing what he called “garbage” and faulted Noah’s performance as host.

Trump took particular issue with a joke made during the broadcast in which Noah allegedly suggested that both Trump and former President Bill Clinton had spent time on Epstein Island.
Trump strongly denied the claim, stating that he has never been to Epstein Island or anywhere near it and insisting that he has never been accused of such by the media or any legal authority. He described the comment as “false and defamatory” and warned that he may instruct his lawyers to pursue legal action against Noah and CBS.
The U.S president also compared the situation to past legal cases involving media figures, asserting that he has successfully challenged similar claims before. He added that Noah should “get his facts straight,” warning that further action could follow.
Neither Trevor Noah nor CBS has issued an official response to Trump’s comments as of the time of filing this report. The Recording Academy, which organises the Grammy Awards, has also remained silent on the controversy.
