Man, 23, Bags 6 Months Jail Term For Stealing Phone In Ogun

A 23-year-old man known as Quadri Babalola has been sentenced to six months imprisonment without an option of fine by an Ota Magistrates’ Court.

He was sentenced to jail for stealing an Infinix phone valued at N57,000.

The accused was charged with stealing the phone belonging to one Benjamin.

The Prosecutor, Insp E.O. Adaraloye, told the court that the accused committed the offence on February 28 at No. 52, Plaza Junction, Sango-Ota.

According to Adaraloye, the offence contravened Section 390 of the Criminal Code, Law of Ogun, 2006.

The Magistrate, Mr O.O. Okiki, thereafter sentenced the convict to six months imprisonment without the option of a fine after he had agreed to committing the crime.
