A 50-year-old man known as Mukhtar Ibrahim has asked a Kaduna state Shari’a court to evict his ex-wife from his home.
On June 14, 2023, he said the prayer through his advisor Jamilu Sulaiman.
Additionally, the complainant requested that the court uphold the third decree of divorce that he granted to his ex-wife Sa’adatu Abdulhadi.
Ibrahim claimed that the ex wife makes him afraid and it keeps him from getting any sleep. She once asked members of her family to beat him up, he testified before the court.
Although the defendant wasn’t present in court, the court messenger certified that she was served the sermon.
Malam Isiyaku Abdulrahman, the presiding judge, postponed the case to July 10 so that the defendant may refute the accusations.
He said;
“I also want the custody of my four children because she lacks good manners; she had once called her family to beat me up, leaving me with injuries and bruises.
“Right now, I am scared for my life and I can’t sleep with my two eyes closed since she refused to leave the house.”
