Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 28-year-old female bandits’ supplier, Bilkisu Suleiman, in possession of 249 rounds of 7.62 mm live ammunition.
She was arrested by officers on patrol along Zaria-Kano Expressway.
The agency said she was on her way to deliver the ammunition to an identified bandit in Kakumi village, Katsina State, when she was apprehended.
She has however been transferred to the Kaduna State command of the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation.
Commending men of the operatives for a job well done, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Marwa (retd), charged them to be more vigilant and report any forms suspicious behaviour to the law enforcement agencies with the view of nipping crimes in the bud.
