NEMA Distributes Relief Materials Victims of Bandits Attack, Flood In Zamfara

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed relief materials to Victims of Bandits Attack as well as Flood in 11 LGAs of Zamfara state.

The move is to cushion the plight of those displaced by flood and insecurity.

NEMA’s Head of Planning Research and Forecasting, Mr. Tukur Abubakar who led other staff of NEMA Sokoto Operations Office, officials from Zamfara Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, Local government officials and community leaders to carry out the direct distribution across the affected LGAs.

Abubakar who represented the Head, NEMA Sokoto Operations Office led other team members to distribute the relief materials consist of; Food items such as, Rice, Beans, Maize, Vegetable oil, Seasoning cubes and Iodized salt, Building materials such as, Roofing sheets, Zinc nails and 3′ nails to the victims.

Other items also distributed includes, Nylon mats, Blankets, Foam mattresses, Treated mosquito nets, Guinea brocades, Wax prints and Children’s wares.

Local government areas include visited includes: Gusau, Bungudu, Maru, Maradun, Talata Mafara, Kaura Namoda, Tsafe, Anka Bukkuyum, Gunmi and Zurmi Local government.

While appreciating the effort of the NEMA, thee victims expressed their delight over the Federal Government kind gesture.
