The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, on Saturday paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, at his residence in Abuja, following the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
Yilwatda’s visit comes in the wake of the passing of the late matriarch, who died on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Cairo, Egypt, after a period of illness. Her death has continued to draw an outpouring of sympathy from political leaders, associates, and well-wishers across the country.
During the visit, the APC Chairman expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing the late Hajiya Umma El-Rufai as a devoted mother and a pillar of strength to her family. He noted that her passing is not only a personal loss to the El-Rufai family but also a moment of grief for those who knew her for her values and influence.
Yilwatda prayed for the repose of her soul and asked God to grant Mallam El-Rufai and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
