Gov Soludo Dissolves First Term Cabinet

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has dissolved his first term cabinet, asking all political appointees to hand over to the most senior civil servants in their various ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs).

Truth Live News Media reports that Soludo took the oath of office for his second term on Tuesday, 17, 2026.

Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Nwabufo Nwankwo, in a memo addressed to the appointees, also informed the affected officials to prepare for a meeting with the governor next week.

“I am directed to inform all political appointees to hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior civil servants in the various MDAs on or before the close of work today, 18th March, 2026 until a new cabinet is constituted.

“All first term cabinet members are to meet with Mr. Governor on Monday, 23rd March, 2026 at 10am prompt. Venue is ANSEC Chambers,” the memo said.
