The Senator representing the Edo North Senatorial district at the national assembly, Adams Oshiomhole has refuted issuing a statement alleging that the viral video in which he was seen massaging a lady’s foot in a private jet was AI-induced.
Recall that a statement was attributed to the Senator and was circulated on social media, in which he claimed that the viral video was manipulated with the use of Artificial Intelligence.
But, the Edo North Senator in a statement by his Chief of Staff, Victor Oshioke, denied issuing any statement whatsoever to explain or offer justification in relation to the trending video clip.
Oshioke, in a statement currently making wave on the social, said the earlier statement issued by Embassy- Oseni Momodu, on behalf of Oshiomhole’s Media Office, attributed to the Senator is false, misleading, and did not emanate from him nor receive his authorization.
“Our attention has been drawn to a statement currently circulating on social media purportedly issued by H.E. Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, which claims to provide an explanation or justification for a trending video clip showing a male and female in an aircraft.
“The said video has since been assessed by independent experts and widely adjudged to be AI-generated.
“We wish to clearly and respectfully inform the general public that Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole has not issued any statement whatsoever to explain or offer justification in relation to the trending video clip.
“Any statement being attributed to him in that regard is false, misleading, and did not emanate from him nor receive his authorization.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Oshiomhole will not, under any circumstance, yield to repeated attempts at blackmail, misinformation, or reputational attacks.
“We therefore urge bloggers, content creators, public commentators, television hosts, and other media practitioners to exercise due caution, professional judgment, and restraint in the dissemination of unverified materials, as further circulation only serves to legitimize and amplify deliberate falsehood.
“Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole remains steadfast and fully committed to his duty of representing the people of Edo North and advocating for the voiceless across the country.
“This responsibility is lifelong and unwavering, and no campaign of blackmail or disinformation can distract from or diminish that commitment,” the statement said.
