Oyo Police Arrest Four Suspects in Kidnapping, Murder Cases, Rescue Victim


The Oyo State Police Command has arrested no fewer than four suspects in connection with separate incidents of kidnapping and murder across the state, while successfully rescuing a kidnap victim.

Truth Live News learnt that the arrests were made at different locations in Oyo State, according to a statement released Tuesday evening by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade as reported by Daily Post.

In one major breakthrough, police rescued kidnap victim Hussinat Abubakar and arrested three suspects linked to the abduction.

Ayanlade said, “The suspects have confessed to their involvement in the crime. Investigations continue to apprehend the remaining members of the syndicate.

“The victim is receiving treatment and all necessary support at the hospital, while the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation”.

The fourth suspect was arrested in relation to a violent clash among students at Michael Koleoso Polytechnic, Saki.

“Olatunji David Segun, male, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

“Further investigations have commenced to determine the circumstances and motive behind the crime,” he stated.

The arrests shows the Oyo State Police Command’s ongoing efforts to combat violent crimes, including kidnappings and related offenses, through proactive operations and swift responses to incidents.

Authorities have assured that investigations are continuing to ensure all involved parties are brought to justice.
