Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has vehemently denied allegations that she stole $40,000 from the residence of her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, describing the claims as false, and part of an alleged attempt to intimidate her amid their ongoing marital crisis.
Speaking during a live broadcast that has since circulated widely on social media, the actress accused the Delta North senator of being behind the theft allegations.
Regina claimed that an arrest warrant had allegedly been issued against her and some members of her family over the matter.
“It’s confirmed, it’s true, and I’ve verified that it’s Ned,” she said during the broadcast.
“There is a warrant on everyone, including myself.”
Regina questioned the logic behind the allegation, insisting that her husband does not keep cash in his house.
According to her, the claim that $40,000 was stolen from the senator’s home is unrealistic and fabricated.
“He is claiming that we stole $40,000 from his house, yet he doesn’t even keep money at home,” she said.
“So how could we have stolen $40,000?”
The actress maintained that neither she nor any member of her family has taken any money belonging to the senator, stressing that the allegation is an attempt to tarnish her image and apply pressure on her amid their marital disagreements.
Regina further appealed to the public to disregard what she described as “false narratives,” adding that she would pursue all legal means to clear her name.
She also expressed concern over what she termed the criminalisation of a private family dispute.
As of the time of filing this report, Senator Ned Nwoko has not publicly responded to Regina Daniels’ claims.
The allegations come amid widespread speculation surrounding trouble in the marriage between the actress and the billionaire politician, a situation that has continued to attract public attention and intense debate across social media platforms.
