Why Palmer Won’t Play World Cup Qualifiers — Maresca

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that attacking midfielder Cole Palmer will miss England’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia due to injury.

Truth Live News gathered that Palmer requires a scan and is expected to be out until after the international break.

Maresca omitted Palmer from the Chelsea squad that lost 1-0 to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

When asked about Palmer’s availability for England, Maresca stated, “Cole Palmer will not play for England; he’s injured. He needs a scan… It’s a muscle problem.”

Chelsea are hoping to have Palmer back for their next match against Tottenham Hotspur on April 3.

The Blues currently sit in fourth place, having played one game more than Newcastle United.
