The General overseer of Omega Power Ministry OPM Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has stopped the OPM overseas scholarship to Nigerian students to study abroad.
Apostle Chibuzor who is known for his charitable acts of sponsoring young Nigerians to study abroad has put a stop to the scholarship program due to increase in dollar rate.
The Apostle made this known on his Facebook page as he further stated that those who got admitted into foreign universities for the month of August and September will be sponsored but as from January 2023 there will be no scholarships to study abroad.
He also encouraged students on scholarship under OPM to look for jobs to use the proceed to care for their feeding and clothing but OPM will continue to pay for their fees and accommodation.
He wrote:
“OPM FREE UNIVERSITY.
I Am left with no other option”
“I just finished meeting with a professor and I have instructed the OPM international metron that from January 2023, No more new intakes for OPM overseas scholarship”
“because of the over growing dollar rates”
“So all those we just paid there school fees last week for Cyprus that will be traveling this month of August and those for Germany that will be traveling September are the last New intakes for overseas Scholarship”
“While others that are already in different universities around the world, we shall continue to pay your school fees and accommodations only till you graduate.
“You have to look small job for your feeding and cloths”
