Popular Nollywood actress Damilola Adegbite has clarified the circumstances surrounding the dissolution of her union with Ghanaian movie star Chris Attoh.
Truthlives News recalls how Chris and Damilola first connected on the set of the acclaimed soap serial “Tinsel”? The movie stars married in a private ceremony in 2015 after welcoming a child together in 2014.
In an interview with well-known journalist Chude Jideonwo, the actress gave her reasons for divorcing Chris, stating that they had realized that love was insufficient.
She believed that while love was essential to a successful relationship, it was not the only one.
The couple filed for divorce in September 2017. Damilola insisted, however, that she did not regret her decision to divorce her ex-husband.
She said;
“Love is not enough. When you meet somebody and you want to spend your life with them, love is just one of the qualities that you need. But it is not everything.”
