The Edo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) will deploy 1,300 personnel to ensure a peaceful Sallah celebration.
These personnel will provide maximum security at various Eid-el-prayer grounds, palaces, monuments, and recreational centers across the state during the festival.
The command said it has expanded its intelligence network to identify and prevent any potential security threats in the state during the celebration.
The agency furthered that the security of residents’ lives and property before, during, and after the festival remains the command’s top priority.
Commandant Agun Gbenga has directed all commanders and officers to ensure a smooth, crime-free, and secure celebration.
The command appealed to the public to cooperate with personnel and provide useful information on criminal elements to ensure a peaceful celebration.
